At Southside our goal is to help your student to grow in Christ. We desire to equip them to stand strong in their faith and be able to defend it. We want them to have a genuine faith that is their own, not because they were raised in church but because they truly know the Creator of the Universe.
We challenge students as well and give you tools to stand strong each and every day while building community with other students. We do this through weekly small groups, Wednesday worship, as well as events throughout the year including: Student Ministry weekend, other retreats, Summer Camp, mission trips, street ministry outreach, lake days, and many more.
Our small groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30. We have several options for you to grow as a disciple. Our goal is for you as a Christian is to be a disciple who makes disciples. Our call is to take the word of God to the world and only by becoming a mature believer in Christ can this happen.
1. Know and serve one another persistently. (1 Thessalonians 2:7–8; Hebrews 3:12–13)
2. Depend on the Lord prayerfully. (Philippians 4:6–7; Hebrews 4:14–16)
3. Meet God through his word faithfully and expectantly. (Psalm 19:7–11; 2 Peter 1:3–4)
4. Pursue disciples for Jesus boldly and globally. (Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 1:8)
5. Rest in the gospel confidently and humbly. (Romans 8:1, 32, 37–39; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4)
6. Work out our salvation soberly and joyfully. (Philippians 2:12–13; Galatians 5:1, 13, 25)
At Southside we want to partner with parents to guide kids toward a HEART for God.
Specifically, we believe that God has called us, in partnership with parents, to help our children:
KNOW the Word of God deeply and the Lord Jesus personally
GROW to be like Jesus together and
GO serve Him in their homes, church, school and community.
Women in Touch
Our ladies meet on the 2nd Saturday of every month for brunch, fellowship and discussion of various mission projects. Our focus is to meet the needs of the women in our church and community, while bringing God the glory.
Our men's ministry meets for breakfast on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 8am for food, prayer, and fellowship. We also do projects around the church and in the community. We love to have visitors so please come join us!
Missions & Outreach
We have community outreach programs here at Southside. We have a food pantry that is open 24/7, a diaper ministry, blood drives and Meals for Mambrino. We support disaster recovery both here and around the world. You have the opportunity to go on mission trips and to partner with our E3 churches to go many different places. We also support the association mission to Juarez, Mexico.
E3 is a group of seven churches coming together to bring the love of Christ to our community. We share resources, times of worship, and fellowship. We come together with the understanding that we are one in Christ. There are opportunities to work with each other in the community, around the country and around the world. E3 has the goal of planting 100 church around the world. Come partner with us to reach this world for God.
Members have many opportunities to volunteer at Southside. You can teach small groups, work with youth or children. Work in out pantry ministry is also an opportunity. We have VBS and camps you can be a part of as well. If you feel a call to help grow the kingdom of God we have an opportunity for you.
At Southside, we believe in worshipping and praising God wuth a blended music program. We play and sing both contemporary praise along with classic hymns. If you feel called to be part of our worship team, which includes our media/sound department, feel free to contact Jerry Hibbs.
